Our thanks for your outpouring of support is greater than we can express in words. We are honored to be a part of your life and look forward to the day we open our doors to you again. This plan will take some time and we intend to keep you updated along the way. Guidance on your needs for current well checks and sick appointments while we are temporarily closed is below.
We have had many questions about how to discuss the loss of Dr. Dodson with your children and have the incredible support of Dell Children’s Medical Center’s Certified Child Life Specialists to assist you. The “Talking With Children About Loss” post on our News page has resources from their team for talking with your children.
Well Child Checks
Timeliness of your well checks and vaccines is very important to us. Below we will talk through different timelines you may be on and what we believe to be next best steps; whether it may be waiting to see us upon our return or reaching out to our call partners for more immediate care.
For little ones who are reaching their one month well check, you may hold off on returning to office until it is time for your two-month visit. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, you may schedule with one of our call partners for this appointment.
For our babies who are due for two-month well checks, we feel it important that you are seen so that your little one’s vaccines can be given and a physician can have eyes on this important period of growth and development. Please call and schedule with our call partners if this appointment should fall between 1/27 and 2/13 for your child (their information is below).
For all other well checks who have been cancelled or are due shortly, we intend to make time in our schedule for all of you. As soon as that plan has solidified, we will update you all with information and will continue to provide guidance if we are not yet prepared to provide care. Again, if you have pressing concerns you may reach out to GROW or AusTex for an appointment.
