Congratulations! This is such an exciting time in your life and we are privileged to assist you in navigating the new parent world. It is our job to ensure that your little one is healthy, and part of that is done by empowering you as a parent.
If you choose CMG, our relationship will start shortly after your baby is born.
How to become a patient:
Please call our office to enroll as a new patient. Jamie will gather some information for you to get started and go over any questions you may have about our office.
When you register at the hospital, you will designate the name of your pediatrician. If you designate one of our physicians and deliver at Seton Main, the nursery will call us when the baby is born. Your pediatrican will then see you within 24 hours of the baby’s birth and each day that you are in the hospital. If you deliver at another hospital, the in-house pediatrician will care for you and tell you when to follow-up with us after discharge.
Your first appointment at the office will usually be within 2 – 3 days of going home from the hospital. Give us a call the day that you are discharged and we will get your first appointment scheduled appropriately.
Our doctors teach a newborn class once a month that is for expecting parents. It gives you the opportunity to meet us and see our office. Please visit our services page for more information.
In order to best protect your newborn, we recommend that you ensure your immunizations are up-to-date. It is recommended that all pregnant women receive a Tdap shot and a flu vaccine if it is the appropriate season. We also recommend that Dads and close caregivers receive these immunizations as well.
We feel that we offer quality medical care and a quality relationship. Our doctors and staff stay up-to-date on the latest medical guidelines through continuing education conferences, journal reading, and monthly staff meetings to share information and train each other. We ensure that you receive personal attention by always having a real live person answer the telephone! We return phone messages promptly and you can always ask to have your physician return the call. We want your child to feel safe and comfortable at the doctor and enjoy their visits. We want you to trust our advice and turn to us with your questions and concerns.
