Newborn Care

Newborn classes are offered free of charge once a month for new and expecting parents. This class reviews medical information about your newborn baby. Topics include breastfeeding, immunizations, what to expect at the hospital, jaundice, and fever. Ample time is allowed for questions.

Expecting Parent Registration

All of the hospitals in the Austin area have in-house pediatricians who will care for your new baby during the hospital stay.  On the day of discharge, they will let you know when to make the follow-up visit with us.  This is typically 2-3 days after going home.  Please call us on the day you are being discharged to schedule this first appointment.
